PREMIUM vs STANDARD RELEASE

Premium has higher shirt quality (similar to street wear), higher print color quality with much bigger print area, they last much longer than standard quality shirts, and the overall feel of the shirt is better. These shirts are great for more outing wear like hanging with your friends or going to an event that you want to dress slightly better than your in-house clothing. With that, Premium is ordered internationally and has a much longer fulfillment time period, hence the delayed shipping.

Standard shirts are what most of the collections are made with. They are made with Gildan Heavyweight Tees, often in-land so they are made within 1-2 business days then shipped domestically to you. Standard doesn’t mean bad quality, it just means that they are shirts that are good for normal daily wear around the house, to the gym, or to casual outings with grabbing groceries and boba.

Though I want to make the entire store premium, it’s not possible due to the size of the store right now. Hopefully one that Rinkitori will turn into a full premium brand, with pop-up shops around the world^^

WHY ARE CERTAIN RELEASES A PRE-ORDER?

Are you trying to be the next PBandai? Are you trying to make these shirts seem rare and cool so more people buy? 🙄 

Not quite… because it actually takes a lot more work to make these shirts compared to the existing ones on the store right now. Let me tell you why:)

The current shirts on the store right now are connected to an on-demand service where, when you place an order, it gets made and sent directly to you. While this service saves me from having inventory, there are various limitations to it. The first limitation is the print area: these shirts can only print a small area (about 24x12), and they don’t scale with the shirt size. So any design that’s meant to be full back (on a size Large and above shirts) will look small and weird. The second limitation is shirt quality. These manufacturers use Gildan shirts, which are okay for normal daily use, but don't offer the best quality.

Starting from the PowerMorphinCon 2024 Designs, I’m working directly with a local manufacturer from Vietnam. They are able to print on the entire shirt, making it possible to achieve the design that I originally imagined when drafting. Also, these shirts are much higher quality cotton fabric, with dropped-shoulder fit and softer feel. With all these upsides comes higher shipping cost and longer shipping time. A single shirt would cost upward $45 💀

In order to keep the prices reasonable as well as quality control to make sure each shirt you guys receive is of the best quality as promised, the best solution is for me to buy them in bulk and then ship them out personally.
