Sougo Tokiwa, a student in high school, was born in 2000 with an enduring aspiration to become a king. His path takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Tsukuyomi, a mysterious girl from the future, who urgently seeks to change her ominous fate. Tsukuyomi warns Sougo that he is destined to become the fearsome Kamen Rider Zi-O, the ruler of all time, a demonic figure fated to dominate the world. The Ridewatches, which Sougo Tokiwa employs for transformation, resemble pocket watches and store the abilities of previous Kamen Riders.
